Herugga landed in camp, folding his wings onto his back and bending over, allowing the pup on his back to hop off. I'll train him myself, nobody else could teach him the ways of true darkness as well as I can.

Herugga laughed slightly. "You'll fight in time." He started to walk away, looking back at Ika and flicking his tail, signaling for him to follow.

I paused for a second then towards him. "Sweetness!"

Herugga led Ika out into a clearing. No sunlight shown through the thick canopy of leaves and the only light was from Herugga's glowing red eyes. "Now Ika, tell me, do you truly wish to train under my wing? It will not be easy, and I will not hold back."

Herugga grinned, each of his sharp, jagged fangs showing. He rested his muzzle on Ika's head, and his eyes flashed, sending a single shock of darkness through Ika's body. It wasn't enough to kill him, just enough to get him to feel what it was like. "Welcome to the darkness."

I shivered and felt the jolt. I flinched slightly and then grinned.
I paused.
"Can I fight you?"

"If you must." Herugga stepped back, spreading his wings to their full extent. "But I must warn you, it will not be easy."

I braced myself then ran headfirst towards him. But I knew he would be expecting this so I jumped up and went to the side scratching him on his side. I thought it had hurt him, but I really wasn't sure.

Herugga smirked. He rounded on Ika, flashing his claws out and slashing them across his side. He them gave his wings a massive flap, retreating backwards. "That all you got?" He taunted, his tail waving behind him.
